Are there greater discounts for “cash”?
It is always worth speaking to one of our advisors in the event that the site has not been updated with all current discounts. The motor industry is an extremely dynamic industry and we are constantly offered amended terms by one manufacturer or another.
Who is the registered keeper?
In the majority of cases you will be the first owner. However, there are occasions where vehicles are pre registered to give you bigger discounts. This tends to be on fleet vehicles rather than executive vehicles and as such has no effect on the future value of the vehicle. Please check with our advisors at the point of ordering which option gets you the best price.
Can I recover VAT on my vehicle?
You can recover at least 50% vat on cars and 100% vat on commercials providing you are vat registered and the correct funding methods are used. Please contact us for details.
Does your maintenance plan include tyres?
The maintenance plan does include tyres and punctures (providing use is fair wear and tear).
Can I have my car serviced at a non franchised dealer?
If the vehicle is not subject to an agreement where at the end of the contract you can just hand it back then yes. If you have the option to hand the vehicle back with no disposal issue then the vehicle doesn’t have to be serviced at a franchised dealer but must be serviced in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines.
Can I own the vehicle at the end of a contact hire agreement?
If you wish to purchase a vehicle you have had on a contract hire agreement for say three years, in theory you cannot purchase that vehicle. However there are other options available to facilitate this so please contact our office for advice.
Is ply lining free on the commercial vehicles?
In many cases ply lining is free. Please contact us to select your specific vehicle and we will advise if that manufacturer is offering this incentive at this time.
When will I get the registration document (V5)?
If the vehicle is not pre registered the DVLA will send the registration document to you in a few days. If your vehicle has been pre registered we will send the V5 to you as soon as the manufacturer’s terms allow. You will receive all the necessary documentation showing you have title to the vehicle and that you are the legal owner.
Do you take vehicles in part exchange?
Yes we do. We will value you vehicle. You can then take the opportunity before the new vehicle is delivered to retail your own vehicle. If it doesn’t sell then we can take it in part exchange. Please take a look at the part exchange area on the site.
What happens if the vehicle is delayed?
When customers order vehicles we confirm production/delivery dates and estimated delivery dates given by the manufacturer. Any main dealer will confirm that dates can change and often in your favour than not. As you’d expect you only hear about the delayed deliveries. We cannot be responsible if a manufacturer’s boat sinks in the Channel (BMW X5’s) or if there are production issues at the factory or when the factory abroad closes for summer holidays etc. That said we do take all necessary steps to ensure that you receive your vehicle in the time allocated. If there are unavoidable delays then you will be informed of these so that alternative arrangements can be made.
How much deposit will I require?
A deposit of £500 is payable to secure your vehicle. This will be taken into account later when the balance of the finance deposit is due or the balance of the full purchase price is required.
Is there a warranty on your vehicles?
Every vehicle supplied is from a UK based main dealer and all come with the manufacturers full warranty and breakdown package or, for “nearly new” vehicles, the balance of the warranty. Our vehicles come with the same warranty you would get if you bought the vehicle direct from the dealer but because we are buying it you get the same vehicle cheaper without affecting the warranty.
Can vehicles be taken abroad?
Yes, all vehicles, regardless of the finance agreement they are on, can be taken abroad. Please contact pour maintenance department for any supporting documentation you may require.
What do I do in the event of a problem with the vehicle?
As every vehicle comes with the manufacturers full warranty you can take it to your local main dealer and they will fix all warranty problems. If you cannot find a dealer close to you please contact on of our advisors on 08458 336633 for assistance.
Is the vehicle delivered or do we collect it?
Collecting a vehicle from a showroom is always a pleasurable experience. If you wish to collect your vehicle you can. Alternatively, all vehicles can be delivered to any UK mainland address. The cost of delivery is invariably included unless otherwise stated. There may be a supplementary charge for very long delivery distances.
Are vehicles delivered by transporter or driven?
In most instances vehicles are delivered on a transporter. In the event that transporters are not available then vehicles will be driven by a main dealer driver. These drivers are not budding Michel Shumaker or retired Nigel Mansells!

How can you give bigger discounts than our local franchised dealer?
Main dealers have strict pricing policies to retail customer requiring low volumes of vehicles each year. We are a suppler of high volumes of all makes of vehicles and as such we have our own terms with every manufacturer. We can therefore pass on these fleet discounts to our customers.
Is the vehicle full UK current specification?
Always. We do not supply, nor do we have an appetite, imported vehicles.
What types of finance are available?
The choices are wide ranging. The best advice is to speak to one of our advisors and ask them. In brief, Personal Contract Purchase (PCP), Lease Purchase, Hire Purchase (HP), Finance lease, Contract hire and Contract purchase.
PCP (Personal Contract Purchase)
PCP is HP (Hire Purchase) with a larger final payment at the end. This final payment is an estimated value of what the vehicle is likely to be worth at the end of the agreement.
At the end of the agreement you may pay the final payment, or return the vehicle to the finance company* and walk away. In reality the majority of customer’s part exchange the vehicle when making their next purchase and use the part exchange value of the vehicle to settle the final payment.
Monthly payments are significantly lower than on a comparable HP figures due to the residual or “balloon” payment. The final payment is guaranteed by the finance company*.
*(subject to mileage limitations based on your stated annual mileage and returning the vehicle in a reasonable condition for its age and mileage)
Finance Lease (For business users)
Finance lease is a very popular alternative to contract hire. This type of finance provides exactly the same VAT benefits and tax benefits as contract hire because the vehicle is not your asset. There are no formal mileage restrictions and it is much easier to dispose of the vehicle during the agreement should staff leave, trading circumstances change, or you simply fancy changing your car. Disposal is made possible as the sale proceeds of the vehicle can be used to settle the outstanding balance with the finance company.
You can also acquire the vehicle at the end of the agreement. This creates a cost saving for the business if there is an additional use for the vehicle rather than buying a newer, more expensive vehicle.
Contract Hire (For business users)
Contract hire is a pure rental agreement, mileage restricted, with no disposal worries. You simply pay your rentals for the period and hand the car back to the finance company. If you exceed the contracted mileage there are excess mileage charges to pay. Maintenance and other add on features can be added.
HP (Hire Purchase for business and private users)
HP is the traditional method for vehicle purchase. Nowadays with the rise in popularity of PCP, HP tends to suit the buyer who intends keeping the vehicle for longer than the term of the loan.
Your deposit is deducted from the total cash price of the vehicle to give a balance that requires financing. Interest is then added and the total of the balance and interest is then repaid in equal instalments throughout the life of the loan.
Lease Purchase (for business and private users)
Lease purchase is similar to PCP without the guarantee on the future value. The deposit can be almost any amount. The greater the deposit the lower the monthly payments. Title passes once all the payments and the final balloon have been paid. Ideal for used vehicles where finance companies are reluctant to guarantee the future value of the vehicle Made at the end. Provided that the agreed mileage has not been exceeded the vehicle can be returned to the finance company instead of making the final payment. The effect is a lower monthly finance payment. In all cases the car remains the property of the funder until the final payment is made by you.
What happens at the end of the PCP agreement?
At the end of a PCP agreement you have the option to either pay the final Payment and keep the car or simply to return the car to the finance company (subject to mileages limitations). Alternatively you can sell the car at a profit and use any equity as the deposit on a new contract.
How are PCP payments made?
The PCP scheme requires the first monthly payment to be made one month after delivery of the vehicle.
When are the PCP payments made?
Normally an initial payment is made at the start of the agreement, with subsequent payments being made monthly over the period of the agreement.
Can I arrange for my payments to be made on a given date?
Usually Yes. Alternatively, let us know if you wish to have a payment “holiday” so that the first payment is made a month after delivery.
Is it possible to purchase my current company vehicle?
If your employee wishes to sell the vehicle to you then this can be arranged (subject to status).
